Located in the Cheviot Hills of California, the Kilrenney House was designed by IKONIKO. Founded in 2007 by Rosalio Arellanes and Brett Davis, the firm focuses on the design and visualization of spaces and objects – or in this case, 4000sf of space for a modern dream home.
The contemporary open floor plan consists of internal and external spaces that flow easily into one another. By reorganizing and adding a significant amount of space to an original house volume, the new design takes full advantage of its hillside site by orienting spaces and views towards the surrounding landscape.
The simple modern home consists of five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, two living areas and an oversized office – all tucked neatly into the house. Large windows and sliding glass doors allow lifestyles of leisure and work to expand out to the exterior. All spaces have access to numerous patios and balconies: allowing unexpected perspectives of Los Angeles.
Based in Los Angeles and Dallas, the firm prides itself on creating new opportunities to partner with individuals to visualize, design, build and develop projects of all kinds.
